Coach: Marcello Lippi (Viareggio, 11/4/48)
Marcello Lippi has fulfilled a dream by becoming the Coach of the Italian national side. The tactician had often publicly stated in the past that he would love to take the Azzurri hotseat, and the worst kept secret in Italian football was confirmed when he put pen to paper on a two-year contract after Euro 2004 disaster. Lippi replaced Giovanni Trapattoni after winning five League titles at Juventus, the Champions’ League and an Intercontinental title.
